DESCRIBE A RECENT PROJECT YOU ARE FOND OF. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE?
Construction of a Detached Apartment Garage - Accessory Dwelling Unit (A.D.U.).
This project was constructed for a Disabled War Veteran.
When Green Habitat Home Construction was asked to act as Builder for this project,
we were very busy with other projects. However, when it was explained that the project was being constructed for a "young" disabled Veteran, we could not say no as a Veteran owned Business. The
Disabled Veteran the project was for, required a level of special care and supervision
which was being provided at the family's current home. As such, the Disabled Veteran's
parents wanted to afford the Veteran a level of independence and privacy as a adult
while still able to provide the care and supervision needed. It was determined this could
be achieved by building a detached living space (A.D.U.) on the existing homes land.
The detached space, in the form of a Detached Garage Apartment with 2 Bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 Bathrooms, Kitchen, Living Room, and Game Room was constructed. The project
was the equivalent of building a small house (A.D.U.) next to the primary residence. We
are very proud of this project which was constructed during the COVID Pandemic of
2021.
